Nuka Cola

Invented by John Caleb-Bradberton, Nuka Cola has been ever popular after the invention in 2044. Its unique taste made it the most preferred soft drink in the United States.



It had many followers; and created a viral chain effect which soon after the whole of the United States had Nuka Cola vending machines on every corner of the street. In Fallout 1 and 2, Nuka Cola bottles were coloured blue, though in Fallout 3 only transparent bottles are existent for regular Nuka Cola.

The drink's ingredients are Carbonated Water, Caramel Color, Aspartame, Phosphoric Acid, Potassium Benzoate (To Protect Taste), Natural Flavors, Citric Acid and Caffeine. The flavor of Nuka-Cola is the essence of seventeen different fruits mixed in just the right proportion to give the beverage its trademark taste.

In an effort to expand success, Cherry Nuka Cola was introduced, though there was little interest for this new introduction. Appearently, nothing could over top the classic Nuka Cola taste. Without wanting to burn their own hands, Cherry Nuka Cola was quickly taken out of the market, with its classic regular taste re-introduced, hence the change of bottle colour in Fallout 3.

33 years later, a new and more successful Nuka Cola variant was introduced, called Nuka Cola Quantum. It was advertised in 2077 with double impact ingredients; twice the calories and carbohydrates, as well a twice the caffeine, which was supposedly combined to deliver twice the taste. In order to support its promotion, the bottle was coloured blue and had a shiny glow to make it stand out. Using radioactive isotopics each bottle of Nuka Cola Quantum was an advertisement on its own. Nuka Cola Quantum soon became equally popular as regular Nuka Cola, though it had one side-effect; one's urine would glow as much as the bottle did after drinking Nuka Cola Quantum.

The Nuka Cola main factory was stationed in Washington DC which was running 24/7 in order to keep up with demand. The Nuka Cola factory is actually found and accessed in Fallout 3. With this factory being key to Nuka Cola delivery across the states, the Nuka Cola factory was heavily guarded and equipped with many guarding robots. The Nuka Cola factory can be found along the southern highway going towards Rivet City.
